Dry hopping can be challenging: Handling, safety, extraction efficiency and the removal of hop solids are often issues in practice. Closely associated with this appear to be the problems of high beer losses, oxygen pickup, wastewater contamination or inefficient hop extraction.

Ferdinand Gutsch and Michael Kohles were able to publish their exciting results on external dry hopping in the 04/2022, 05/2022 and 06/2022 issues of BRAUWELT International.
